perfection
Rules, schedules and guidelines are all tools of perfection. One particular rule of perfection in photography is “rule of thirds”. This rule, or suggestion, was established to avoid placing all subjects of a photograph in the center of the image. By dividing an image into thirds both vertically and horizontally a clear set of rules can be established as to where a subject can be placed. This rule attempts to ensure a subject is perfectly positioned while not being perfectly centered.
In my photos, I realized that all my subjects are placed on the top horizontal line of thirds. Whether intentional or unintentional, I favor the red line. It is subconsciously written in my photographic rulebook that all subjects must be placed here.
